Keep walking

My promised raw recipe didn't come by today but I assure you AND myself that it will this week! I got up around brunch time and went down to the living room. Obviously hungry and the eyes started its search. There in front of me was a box. Curious, I opened it. NOODLES! Mee goreng to be exact and it is my favorite one cooked by grandma!

While I clearly remember being so excited about having my raw noodles for brunch, this impulsiveness consumed me and before I knew it, brunch was in my tummy and I did not know how or why. Truly an Indian-Chinese brunch? Yes indeed. Boiled Shanghai greens to go along with the noodles. While it isn't wrong to have this, I shouldn't be putting too heavily cooked foods into my body. I just don't like the after sluggish feeling. I had the exact same thing for dinner, just that there was a little vegetable change up to beansprouts and eggplant.

I went to teach in the afternoon and ran some errands. It was pouring like crazy. The weather is so temperamental I'm starting to wonder if it could be a women. Right, that makes no sense. Getting along... my tummy started to grumble. Technically speaking, it has that right to do so. But after lunch, I sinfully ate about 10 peanut sugar cookies so it is just there in me, choking up my body system. I decided to satiate that hunger at around 4-ish with thie mini-wrap from Salad Stop! This flavor is called "O Crab Lah" and included  some greens, glass noodles, tomatoes, red onion, egg and crab sticks in some tomato chili dressing. I still like my Habibi the best :D

After dinner, I rushed off to my very first lesson of ZUMBA class. It was sensational! Whether you're doing it to lose weight, keep fit or simply get some jiggy in that body, it will work! Superb cardio workout. It's exercising without the thought of "exercising". This lesson will last for a month, once a week.

This is me right over here. While my sister said that she thinks I look fine being 45kg now, I think otherwise. I do like my body and the overall shape of it, but I cannot... I emphasize, CANNOT stand the bulges. Come on', everyone has it... but not me! I've never had them so with them now I know it is the excess CNY, Christmas goodies at work. The combination work of fats, carbohydrates and aging. So these definitely got to go. The weight is not an issue, I'd probably be fine at 42-43kg... just that I have to do something about the "love handles". Ain't nothing to love about it.

Ideally, talking a stroll after a meal always helps keeps these love handles at bay because when you sit there is this pressure around your hips which is where the fat will be stored ultimately if you do not get up and get moving. The dangers of being an OL (office lady) much.

I came across this quote today..

"A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world; everyone you meet is your mirror." - Ken Keyes
It inspires me. Not only do we have to be the change we want to see; as in do unto others what you would have them do to you, but we also are what we see. A bitter person will never see the simple pleasures.

Have a jolly day!

xoxo. God bless.
